Explosion Protection

Explosion Protection

Playing it safe.

For most companies, safety is one of the main requirements for any dust removal unit, along with trouble-free operation and cost-effectiveness.
This is precisely why many of our BETH® and LTG AEROB® products have been designed with explosion protection.

Many applications require the reliable and safe extraction of combustible and potentially explosive dust types (such as flour, powdered milk, sugar, sawdust, coal dust etc.).

In these cases, the filter is equipped with the requisite safety measures for preventing and, if necessary, withstanding explosions in accordance with

DIN EN 1127-1 - Explosive atmospheres
Explosion prevention and protection
part 1: Basic concepts and methodology.

Requisite safety measures are selected and installed in accordance with the requirements of the case at hand and local conditions of the filter environment.

Guidelines and regulations must be observed, e.g.:

  • ATEX 137 / operational safety regulations explosion protection document – zone classification
  • Equipment types and categories according to zone classification for dust types
  • ATEX 95 required examination of equipment, components and autonomous protection systems
  • Explosion protection in dedusting plants
  • Explosion protection in various fields of operation (automotive, timber industry etc.
  • ATEX 95 applicability of BETH products
